IOSH Managing Safely
The aim of the course is to provide managers and supervisors in any sector, or low risk organisation with the knowledge and skills to safely manage their sector or business. It is designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions that they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.
Duration of course
This is a 4/5 day course that can be delivered on site.
A range of subjects is covered including:
- Introducing managing safely
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
- Protecting our environments
An IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ certificate is awarded to all those who the course and successfully complete both the written and practical assessments.
The written assessment is by means of a 45 minute multiple choice paper consisting of 20 questions.
A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and there is no age barrier.
